Turn Intention Into Action

In the early part of my stroke recovery, I felt grief like I had never known. I screamed. I cried. I felt alone. I kept asking myself, What am I going to do now? No one is going to love me. Why did this happen to me? Why am I still alive? Why didn’t God take me? I felt like I couldn’t do anything.

Cut to a calmer moment — your reflection

But even in all that pain, something inside me refused to quit. That fight… I learned it from my mom. She didn’t let me give up, and deep down, I didn’t want to give up either.

I had two babies at home. And I wanted to show them that even if something life‑changing happens, you can still do something. You can still move. You can still rise.

Transition — honesty about setbacks

But I won’t lie — even when I tried, I had setbacks. I had moments where I believed I couldn’t. Moments where my body didn’t respond. Moments where my mind was tired. But I kept trying. No matter what. No matter how slow. No matter how hard.

Closing message — your encouragement to survivors

Survivors… I have walked in your shoes. I know the fear, the frustration, the loneliness, and the fight. So believe me when I say this: Get up. And just move. One step. One stretch. One breath. Movement is healing — and you are stronger than you think.
